Prompt: Locke/Cactuar. Hurt/comfort, harrowing love story. Any rating fine, feel free to throw in guro/dubcon/cactus!kink but totes not necessary. For art: shoujo sparkles a plus.
Summary: Locke passes through a Cactuar-infested desert on his way to find the Phoenix Cave and gets more than he bargained for.

Maybe this was love, or maybe it was just psychotropic alkaloids...

I just joined, and so I figure I'd include a fun doodle with my hello. FFVI and FFIX are my fav final fantasy games, and I've been playing ffvi advance the past few days, so I guess that's why I drew this last night when I couldn't sleep o.o

They say that the land where Kefka's Tower once rested is cursed - full of strange lights and phantom laughter. They say that the ones who spend too many days there sometimes go mad.

They might be right.

The first time it happens, Locke thinks it’s a joke; some twisted prank that everyone is in on. It doesn’t stop him from having screaming nightmares of the pale kid, screaming and sweating and spouting nonsense as the hospital attendants hold him down to keep him from hurting himself.
