It's worth noting that this is a new event on the Japanese servers; Global won't see it for some time, alas. So depending on where you are, it would be a while before this one landed.
Anyone picking up Mobius now can start at the beginning, and last month the game put in a condensed Digest Mode of Act One because Act Two launches 17 Dec (the Prologue is already in). I picked at Mobius off and on for months, mostly hobbled by hardware issues, and then blitzed through the Digest in ~two weeks.
It mostly runs on its own plot, though, there haven't been that many incursions by other FF characters; I figure I should point that out.
