Sounds like what happened with Star Ocean: Anamnesis. I played Global from day after launch until the EOS announcement... Sadly, that game didn't last long in Global at all, alas. But I'll forever be grateful to it for introducing me to Star Ocean, which I hadn't heard of before the mobile game. I still have yet to play another Star Ocean game (what is time?) but I bought First Departure R a while back, so maybe soon.
