Alphinaud meets Alphinaud!
I've posted about this before, last year but it bears posting about again now since there's a whole PC Gamer article about it: Colin Ryan, the English voice actor for Alphinaud in FFXIV, has been streaming the game over the past year (with a few months break to be on stage). Last weekend, he finished patch 2.55 of A Realm Reborn and started Heavensward, which means he heard himself in game for the first time. His reaction? ADORABLE:
I've caught most of his streams live, and I gotta say they are well worth watching. As a voice actor, he knows SOME of the story but not all of it, and it's a delight to see him put two and two together and something suddenly makes sense to him.
