Granted, we have a rerun of the VII event going on in global Mobius right now, but ye hells waiting for this one is going to chafe my arse but bad ~

I'm debating whether I should start playing Mobius now or just watch a few letsplays of this to get the gist of it. It looks beautiful, and Squall actually has his OG outfit! What's really all I've wanted for ages.

How is Mobius, anyway? Is it something I could get into in the space of a season or would I have had to been playing it for a long time already to get anything out of it?

It's worth noting that this is a new event on the Japanese servers; Global won't see it for some time, alas. So depending on where you are, it would be a while before this one landed.

Anyone picking up Mobius now can start at the beginning, and last month the game put in a condensed Digest Mode of Act One because Act Two launches 17 Dec (the Prologue is already in). I picked at Mobius off and on for months, mostly hobbled by hardware issues, and then blitzed through the Digest in ~two weeks.

It mostly runs on its own plot, though, there haven't been that many incursions by other FF characters; I figure I should point that out.

Gotcha. Yeah I figured it would be a while before it hit, here, just trying to get a bead on whether it would be possible to catch up in the meantime. It sounds like it might be, so I might throw it on my Shield and see how it goes. Thanks!

I'm a big FFVIII fan so I will be waiting eagerly for this! I'm not the most dedicated player of Mobius, but I pick at it every now and then. Currently in an "on" phase and hoping to finish the VII event.

Heh. I love how snarky Wol is. I probably would have given up on Mobius if it wasn't for how Wol is written and voiced.

I need to do more of the main story one of these days. I've been playing on and off for about six months and I've barely done any of the main story. I keep getting distracted by the events.
