Intro Post and + New FFVII Canon Divergence Fic

 Hey ya'll! I'm so happy to find this comm! :D I'm a huge fan of VII and its assorted stuff (well...okay "huge fan" of Dirge is a bit...of an overstatement, but it's okay?? XD). Anybody else EXCITE and yet also agonized by the wait on Remake?? (I'm guessing yes for a lot of us lol)

At some point I might get into the other Final Fantasies; X looks like it has really cool worldbuilding for instance and I can be sucker for that (I read a fusion fic once that used FFVII's characters and plopped them into X's setting and it was SO cool). Right now my main fandom home is VII though.  :)

Browsing the comm today, I noticed some people posting or cross-posting fic (YAY) and as it happens I JUST posted the first chapter of a new one today to AO3 (I've got several others in FFVII fandom on there too, but this one is brand spanking new!); it's a Canon-Divergence AU that starts off with a teeny tiny little change to the climax of Advent Children Complete. It's eventual Zack/Cloud (slow-burn), but with a LOT of Plot and a first chapter just action-packed enough in its second half to give me Pacing Angst before I edited the heck out of it lol.

THEY'RE ACKNOWLEDGING IT IN HINTS FROM THE GET-GO. sdjhfhgfhgdfg brb dying slightly But seriously: well done, squeenix. Well done. That's so subtle and yet anybody who knows the story, even new-ish players replaying it, have a chance of picking up on it. This game is gonna break my heart even more than the original isn't it?
