Final Fantasy VII Remake news!

Announced during today's PlayStation State of Play: the Final Fantasy VII Remake PS5 version will be coming June 10th! Here's the official tweet:

It features enhanced lighting and weather effects (they showed off fog), faster load times, Camera mode, and a Normal (Classic) mode. It will be free for anyone who already owns the PS4 version.

It also features a brand new episode with Yuffie in Midgar! This isn't included with the free version; it sounds like it will be available purchased separately.

Also announced today via the official Twitter account are two VIIR-related mobile games.

The first one is called "The First Soldier" and takes place before the events of Remake. Official tweet:

The second is called Ever Crisis, and will be a solo player game covering the entire compilation. Official tweet:

I'm intrigued by Ever Crisis, and plan to check it out. What are your thoughts?

Woah! I'm really interested in Ever Crisis, though I was already curious about it when I first heard the name.
It's not really my type of game but if that other mobile game is fun, I might just start playing it with my fiancé who's more into this stuff.

I don't play the remake, don't know if I will, but the news about the Yuffie épisode are really exciting – I love Yuffie, so I can't wait to see her receive more love from fans once the episode is up. I just wish to see the Remake go outside of Midgar already T-T

As someone who missed everything related to FFVII and still has never played more than an hour of it...

...Ever Crisis has me intrigued! It seems like a great way for me to catch up without having to deal with some of the weirder parts of FFVII (minigame obsession, etc) so I can finally see what everyone loves so much about it.
