FF Fanfic Recs

Hello hello. I am in a reading mood this weekend, and I'd love some good fic recs if you have them!

My favorite pairing is probably Balthier/Fran, but any good world building details in FFXII fic are good. Really any FFXII recs are fine, I love gen fic and I can't think of a pairing I'd nope out of.

FFVII I would love to see Cloud pampered and cared for (gen or not). Again I don't think there are many Cloud pairings I'd nope out of aside from like Hojo or something.

FFXV I think any tender moments between the Chocobros will do me (gen or any pairing combo). I also adore Luna/Nyx if you have any.

for ffxv, there’s this prompto/noct fic i adore. it’s plotty in-universe AU with a large side of hurt/comfort: the last prince of tenebrae by ohmyfae.

For FFXII, I'd rec all of pettiot (best B/F example: Ownership, and note that a bunch of her stories appear to be discontinued WIPs. "Ownership" is complete, though).

For FFXV, it's very gen, but if you like AUs where Cor raises Prompto and don't mind long, long WIPs, this is amazing: Poor Wayfaring Stranger. The parent/child relationship is the focus but Prompto's friendships with all three chocobros are also important, probably more Noct/Prompto than the other two.

(And if we're allowed to rec our own works:
In His Father's House: Balthier and Fran lay low in Archades after the game. It's not good for either of them. (Angst with a happy ending.)

Falling is Like This: Pre-game, the first time, Balthier and Fran don't have sex. + optional sequels Signal Change, their actual first time and The Kindness of Strangers: post-game, roleplaying their first time together again.

Learn to Swim: Pre-game, Fran and Balthier negotiate their partnership (and are both trans).)
