Heh, was expecting you'd post this!

I've only played FFVII once, and that was years ago so I don't remember it too well. I was kind of confused at what happens in the trailer at the end, when Aerith grabs Cloud's hand. That didn't happen in the original game, right?

I heard disappointing news about the FFVII concert itself. Apparently they played a lot of MIDI files while the orchestra just sat there. I'd be furious.

And yeah, that whole bit with Aerith seeing the Things (and, apparently, Cloud seeing them after she grabs his hand) is definitely new. The Things are also swirling around Sephiroth in the new key art so I'm betting that he's involved up to his neck ~

*nods* I heard about the concert, yeah; something like a quarter of the performance? Definitely not like the Distant Worlds orchestrals etc. It was run by a different company also. We'll see if Squenix gets properly on the hook for that one.

I'm excited for War of the Visions! I followed their (JP) account which apparently might get me into the beta. Don't know if I'd play if I get in as I've never played a Japanese-language game before.

The concert was by Wild Faery, who also does the Kingdom Hearts concerts. I went to one last year, and it was decent. I enjoyed it, but my mom fell asleep (heh) and it was weird that the conductor didn't talk at all. I'm so used to Arnie Roth introducing songs at Distant Worlds. Also, the merchandise was outrageously expensive--$40 for a CD!

The idea of trying to play a story-heavy srpg in Japanese (which I can't read) makes me want to slam my face in a door, but if they don't bring it to Global I may have to. Because because.

give me a bloody Global version Squenix and put Noel in it damn you

*hmmm* I sense fuckery going on concert-wise and Squenix-wise, yup ... but I'm not that surprised by the merch prices, because Squenix knows people will pay bloody anything for VII alas.
